Beyond the dev. state Pt. 2

I posted below on some more recent critical perspectives on the developmental state, perspectives which aim to assess any progress in economic development without bracketing off the social. As has been done quite frequently in both state and market focused approaches. Anyways, since his book, featured below, is perhaps to track down, I noticed that he has a recently article in Korea Journal which is free to download. Of course there are many debates over the nature and development of the Korean state going on here, and this article should not be taken as the only voice on the matter.  In the future I’ll try to post more perspectives. However, in some ways we are limited by the number of materials that are translated. None the less, I’ll try to link to as much as I can here.
